Boys Lacrosse LVC Champions!

We are excited to announce that the South Lyon Unified Boys Lacrosse team is 6-0 in the Lakes Valley Conference this year making them Conference Champs! This is their 7th straight year! Since the LVC launched play in the spring of 2018, SLU now has an overall record of 49-1 in conference games!Congratulations to our coaches and boys on an amazing accomplishment and season!

South Lyon East Boys Tennis 2024 Tryouts

The South Lyon East Boys Tennis team will be holding tryouts for both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams on August 12th, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the South Lyon East Tennis Courts.  In the case of rain, the tryouts will be held in the South Lyon East Gymnasium. If you're going into 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade and will be attending either South Lyon East High School or the International Academy in the fall of 2024 and believe you have what it takes to be on this regional winning, top 10 State Tournament finishing team, come on out and let's see what you've got. Boys Tennis Tryouts Monday, August 7th 3:30 PM

The 2023 South Lyon East Boys Tennis Tryouts will take place from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM on Monday, August 7th at the South Lyon East Tennis Courts. Tryouts consist of various tennis drills and matches which are evaluated by the coaching staff. For 2023, incoming FRESHMEN who try out will not be cut and will automatically make the team.  (Varsity status must still be earned and this will be decided during the first week of practices.) Coaches will be hosting an Informational Meeting on Tuesday, 11/1 in the Athletic Classroom for those interested in trying out for boys basketball this season. Players - 6:30pm (Open gym to follow for players) Parents - 7:15pm

Girls Varsity Volleyball vs. Waterford Mott High School

South Lyon, Mich. - The South Lyon East State volleyball program opened Lakes Valley Conference play with a program sweep of the Water Mott Corsairs inside Cougar Arena.  Varsity had a game hitting .568 on the night with 28 kills on 44 swings.  Led by Kills leader Lauren Johnson with 7 on the night.  Addy Williams added 5 kills for the Cougars. The Cougars held the Corsairs to a .158 attack percentage, sweeping the Corsairs 25-8, 25-13, 25-10 for the win. The Cougars racked up 27 aces, led by Katelyn Koch with 8 all by herself.   South Lyon East heads to the Legacy Center on Saturday for the Program cup at 8:30am. 

Parents beat Players in a Stunning Upset!!!

In a highly anticipated rematch, the South Lyon East Boys Tennis Team was knocked off by their parents this year in the annual Players vs Parents match at the South Lyon East courts on August 23rd.  It was a very close match with the parents squeaking out a narrow 15-14 victory.   A great time was had by all with a total attendance of 67 players, parents and family members in attendance.  A special thanks goes out to our Tennis Boosters organization who raised over $340 through raffles and auctions.  Thanks to every one of you! The score was all tied up at 14-14 with only one match left on the courts.  And that match came right down to the wire going to a 5 point tie-breaker.  With everything on the line, Nick & Peyton defended the parent's team, while Brayden & Michael were out there for the players.  With the parents up 5-4 and match point, Nick sent a mild kick serve to Michael.  Michael made a valiant attempt, but

Varsity Inaugural Scrimmage

Varsity had their inaugural scrimmage of the 2022 season.  The cougars faced up against some of the best competition in state this past Thursday and performed really well for being such a young team.  The Cougars went up against Novi, Stoney Creek, Mercy, Clarkston and Oxford. A lot of athletes showed the potential to be great by the end of the season.   #BeEast #SLEVB

New Players Tryout - Monday August 8th at 3:30 PM

The South Lyon East Boys Tennis Team will be holding a tryout for all new player grades 9 thru 12 on Monday, August 8th from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.  In order to participate all students must have a physical taken on or after April 15th, 2022 on a completed MHSAA Physical Form. Practices start the next day and run through mid-October.  JV practice is from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM and Varsity practice is held from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
