In a highly anticipated rematch, the South Lyon East Boys Tennis Team was knocked off by their parents this year in the annual Players vs Parents match at the South Lyon East courts on August 23rd.  It was a very close match with the parents squeaking out a narrow 15-14 victory.  

A great time was had by all with a total attendance of 67 players, parents and family members in attendance.  A special thanks goes out to our Tennis Boosters organization who raised over $340 through raffles and auctions.  Thanks to every one of you!

The score was all tied up at 14-14 with only one match left on the courts.  And that match came right down to the wire going to a 5 point tie-breaker.  With everything on the line, Nick & Peyton defended the parent's team, while Brayden & Michael were out there for the players.  With the parents up 5-4 and match point, Nick sent a mild kick serve to Michael.  Michael made a valiant attempt, but his final stroke puttered into the net.  And with that, the Parents earned their first victory in the series.
