In their first of 3 games this week, the Cougars hosted the Lakers of West Bloomfield on Monday night. The Cougars hit the field looking to strike early… and that they did. Twelve minutes into the game Junior Colin Boulard set up Junior Isaac Shiner for a scoring opportunity that was deflected by the Lakers goalie allowing Senior Grayson Davies (#9 pictured above) to send the ball to in the back of the net off the rebound for his first goal of the season.  The Lakers were quick to respond though when a few minutes later they scored to tie up the game. With 19 minutes left in the half, Davies fed Junior Alex Neville who maneuvered his way through the Lakers defense to score the second goal for the Cougars. The Cougars maintained a one goal lead heading into the half time break but early in the second half the Lakers were able to add the equalizer. Final Score: East 2, West Bloomfield 2

In JV action, coming off their first loss of the season on Saturday, the Cougars were looking for redemption. East came out strong scoring their two goals in the first half. Both goals were scored by Sophomore Ayden Rodriguez who was assisted both times by Freshman Drew Neville. While the Cougars didn’t get the win they were hoping for, they did tie bringing their overall record to 4-1-2. Final Score: East 2, West Bloomfield 2

Tonight the Cougars start their four game road series heading to Walled Lake Western. These two teams met back on August 20, resulting in a 3-1 win for Western. The Cougars are looking forward to rematch and are hopeful for bringing home the win. JV begins at 5:30pm with Varsity kicking off at 7:00pm.
