In a Saturday morning match up, the South Lyon East Cougars traveled to Birmingham to take on the Seaholm Maples. The Cougars came out with an impressive start and scored within the first five minutes of the game. Senior Captain David Crapps landed a beautiful throw in ball for Junior Isaac Shiner which lead to a breakaway goal for the Cougars. East had a few other close goal opportunities but were unable to score the remainder of the game. Senior Captain Tristan Nagel (#27 pictured above) led the Cougars defense with a standout performance in the match. The Cougars held the Maples to one goal in the first half but allowed two goals in the second. Final Score: East 1, Seaholm 3

The Cougars JV team, suffered their first loss of the season against the Maples. Despite a strong effort the team was not able to score and allowed the Maples to score 5 goals. Final Score: East 0, Seaholm 5

The Cougars are back home on Monday, September 10. East will host West Bloomfield at Cougar Stadium. JV kicks off at 5:30pm, followed by Varsity at 7:00pm.
