The East Girls Cross Country team spiked up for the third time in six days Friday afternoon, this time against some of the best teams in the state under sunny skies and hot temperatures at the MSU Spartan Invitational. In their first race as a Division 1 team against Division 1 schools, the Cougars placed 28th out of 38 teams in the Green Race. Freshman Ella Kruschka led the Cougars finishing in 87th place in the 239 runner field with a time of 21:54.

In the JV race, the Cougars placed 19th out of 37 teams and were led by Freshman Jessica Link who clocked a 24:53 for 92nd place in the 416 runner field.
