The SL East JV girls soccer team took the the field to take on crosstown rivals, South Lyon.  The Cougars came out strong. Freshman Luca Bially took a shot on net, there was a bobble among the players in the front of the net and freshman Kennedy Shea ran to score the first goal for the Cougars.  However minutes later the Lions tied up the game 1-1.  That didn't stop East.  Junior Allisandra McKague took a free kick from the 15 yard line and score the second goal for the team. What a shot! Junior Morgan Depriest dribbled the ball up the field and scored the third goal for the Cougars.  First half still isn't over with Kennedy Shea scoring again and Rylie Moss adding two more goals for East.  During the second half, the Cougars tried to add to the scoreboard but couldn't find the back of the net.  The game ended with East beating SL 6-1.

Quote from Coach Matt: "The girls have played really well in the first 5 games of the JV season. They are constantly improving and playing together. We have some difficult opponents coming up so I am excited to see the team responds and will be looking forward  to seeing all the girls continue to improve and see how the second half of the season plays out."
