SL East girls varsity soccer team took the pitch for a game against the Farmington Falcons.  In the opening minutes of the game, junior Ashley Sleeva took a corner kick which bent in for the first goal of the game.  Only a few minutes later Ashley Sleeva scored her second goal on an assist from sophomore Alyssa Melquist.  The Cougars were on fire.  In the 11th minute of the game, Ashley Sleeva took another corner kick but this time passed it short to junior Emma Pompo who took a shot and found the back of the net for the Cougars 3rd goal of the game.  With East pushing hard and trying to find another goal, they did with less than 6 minutes in the first half.  Sophomore Alyssa Melquist scored that 4th goal on a cross of sophomore Kate Mazur  At halftime the score was East 4, Farmington 0.  During the second half, the Cougars attacked the net and had several shots but could not score.  East's defense played extremely well and sophomore keeper Ella Penndorf came up with a big save for another shutout.  SL East has yet to lose a game.  Woot! Woot!
