The South Lyon East Cougars played their first game of districts against Milan High School.  The weather was nice but very windy and this was the second game of the season that East had to play on grass.   The game was competitive but East possessed the ball slightly more during the game.  Sophomore Annika Gilson score the first goal for the Cougars with less than 6 minutes in the first half.  Milan came out strong early in the second half and scored 3 goals in the first 20 minutes in the second half but East wasn't about to give up.   Sophomore Shannon Seaver took a shot from way outside of the box and netted the second goal for East with 8:37 minutes left in the game.  The Cougars fought hard for that tying goal but Milan played everyone back.  Unfortunately the Cougars lost 3-2 and did not advance to the district semi-finals.  Good job ladies.  It was a good season.
