After six road games, the Cougars returned home Thursday to take on the Captains of Waterford Kettering. This was the second time these two teams have faced each other this season. The first match up resulted in a hard fought, 2-1 win for the Cougars. Last night's game was another battle from the beginning to the end. In the 20th minute of the first half, Junior Grayson Davies flew through the air to give the Cougars their first goal, assisted by Senior Captain Nathan Chaluleu. Kettering remained scoreless through the first half but game back strong after the intermission to score two goals, including one penalty shot score, taking a one goal lead over th Cougars. With 10 minutes left in the game, Davies again found the back of the net with a 25 yard shot, assisted by Sophomore Colin Boulard, to tie up the game. Final Score: East 2, Kettering: 2

In the JV match, the Cougars' offense took control of the game early on. The team had many opportunities but they were not able to put points on the board. Junior Goalie, Brian Champagne and the Cougar defense remained strong throughout the match keeping the Captains scoreless. Final Score: East 0, Kettering: 0

The Cougars head across town to take on their hometown rival, South Lyon on Monday, 9/18. JV starts at 5:30p.m., Varsity kicks off at 7:00pm. Come out and cheer on our Cougars!
