The South Lyon East Varsity soccer team traveled to Waterford Kettering Friday evening for what turned out to be a battle to the end. The Cougars gained their first victory of the season with a 2-1 score over the Captains of Kettering. The Captains scored early in the game and maintained the lead for the first half. The Cougars came out strong and determined in the second half. Isaac Shiner (sophomore) scored East's first goal of the game, followed soon after by captain Josh Ohland's (senior) game winning goal. Both goals were assisted by Grayson Davies (junior). The Cougars' goal keeper, Dallin Tanner (senior), made some amazing saves to help lead the team to victory. East league and overall record: 1-2-0 (W-L-T)
